What makes our custom made cabinets and storage solutions better?

At Robes Delivered, our DIY built-in wardrobes are extremely versatile and are made to suit your space unlike other off the shelf flatpack wardrobes.

Firstly, they are custom and made to measure meaning you can specify the exact length and height.

Secondly, you also have a range of wardrobe door choices including sliding, hinged and walk-in wardrobes with no doors.

The doors come in a range of colours and finishes including:

Glass wardrobe doors

Melamine wardrobe doors

Polyurethane wardrobe doors

Thirdly, custom drawers are no longer a thing of the past as you can customise the depth, width & height of your custom drawer units.

We can also assist in designing the internal layout of your wardrobe.

Finally, once you are happy with the design and configuration of your new DIY built-in wardrobe, we will begin the manufacturing process in our Sydney factory.

You will also be notified of the delivery date for your new DIY built-in wardrobe when placing your order.

Your DIY built-in wardrobe is then delivered directly to your door (delivery is offered in Sydney, The central coast, Wollongong, The blue mountains are more).

Flatpack Wardrobes. The decision to go built-in or freestanding

Firstly, you have two options when choosing your DIY Wardrobe. The first option is to have the wardrobe ‘built-in’.

For this option, your DIY storage solution is made to fit your exact ceiling and wall sizes in order to achieve an integrated wardrobe storage solution.

Furthermore, the second option is to purchase the DIY wardrobe as a freestanding unit meaning the overall height of your new wardrobe will finish lower than the ceiling and will need to include backing panels and a structural wardrobe frame cabinet to keep the parts together.

This option is better for those that wish to un-assemble and move their wardrobe from one house to another.

Flatpack Built-in Wardrobes – What door system will best suit my space?

Sliding built-in wardrobe doors

Wardrobes with sliding doors are a great space saving solution as they don’t require any free space in front of the doors for the doors to slide open meaning they are better suited to smaller rooms.

Flatpack Sliding wardrobe doors come in a vast range of colours and styles. The most common wardrobe door styles include mirrored or glass wardrobe doors, melamine wardrobe doors or polyurethane painted wardrobe doors.

Sliding wardrobes offer the option of having backing panels to line the back walls, side walls and floor.

However, to keep costs down, you also have the option of using your back wall and existing floor as the interior of the wardrobe resulting in less material and lower costs.

Flatpack Hinged built-in wardrobe doors

Flatpack hinged built-in wardrobes are a high quality product that include a full carcass system with BLUM hinges that swing open into a room. For this option, space in front of the wardrobe is a must.

Things to be considered when choosing hinged wardrobe doors is whether there is enough room to not only swing the doors open, but also have room to get around the doors when they are opened so you aren’t boxed in.

What else to consider?

One must also consider whether you will have a bedside table in front of the door near the wall as the bedside table will restrict the door from opening.

Hinged wardrobe doors are available in a range of colours and styles. These include frameless mirrored doors, frameless coloured glass doors, melamine hinged doors and polyurethane hinged doors.

Flatpack Walk-in wardrobes

DIY Walk-in wardrobes also come in a variety of colours as you can select any colour from the POLYTEC or LAMINEX range.

When choosing to have a DIY Walk-in wardrobe solution, you have many options regarding the layout as the location and sizing of drawers wont be effected as there wont be any doors in front of the cabinetry.

Walk-in wardrobes can include a full carcass system or can also include a more budget option where your back wall and existing floor is visible.

DIY Sliding Built-in Wardrobes in Sydney, The central coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Illawarra and The blue mountains

Flatpack Built-in Wardrobes & Sliding Doors. How much are we talking?

On average, DIY built-in wardrobe sliding doors with tracks can cost anywhere from $385 per door including GST and delivery for the standard aluminium framed mirrored or white melamine door options.

For the frosted glass or ultra-white glass door options, the cost per door would be around $485 per door including GST and delivery.

The Polyurethane door range has a price of $790 per door including GST and delivery.

The maximum door size included in this price is 1200mm wide and 2400mm high.

We also stock oversize wardrobe doors available at a maximum door height of 2700mm x 1200mm wide at an additional cost of $125 per door.

The mentioned pricing is based on a wall to wall and floor to ceiling opening.

We can also supply wardrobe side panels that are 600mm deep x 16mm thick x the height of your ceiling. The additional cost for a side panel if ordered with your wardrobe doors is $100 per panel. You also have the option of adding a plain white melamine bulkhead panel to your order at an additional $30.

Can I add internal shelving to my order?

Also, adding white 16mm melamine wardrobe internals (standard at 450mm deep x 16mm thick) would add a little to the cost.

A standard layout including 1x set of 4x458mm wide drawers, 3x adjustable shelves above the drawers, long hanging space, short hanging space and a top shelf for storage would be at additional $390 on top of the above pricing.

This cost includes all required fittings like screws and hanging rods etc.

All prices are inclusive of GST and delivery!

Flatpack Hinged Built-in Wardrobes & Replacement Hinged Doors. What’s the Damage?

Our DIY Hinged Built-in Wardrobes & replacement doors are recommended for larger bedrooms with space for the doors to swing open. It is therefore important to consider any items that may be in the way of the doors opening.

Furthermore, DIY Hinged Wardrobes and Cupboards can be used in bedrooms, hallways and walk through areas. Hence, they can assist in creating additional storage for clothing, towels and bulky items.

DIY Hinged Built-in wardrobe doors with BLUM cost closing hinges can cost anywhere from $400 per door for a plain white melamine finish, $500 per door for a coloured melamine finish, $600 per door for a frameless mirrored finish and $650 per door for a polyurethane finish.

The pricing depends on the amount of doors you are ordering and also the door size and style.

How much extra to add wardrobe internals?

Furthermore, adding a carcass with internal hanging, shelving or drawers to the wardrobe made from 16mm white melamine board (maximum size for each cabinet is 2400mm high x 600mm deep x 1200mm wide) would result in a price of $800 per door for a plain white melamine finish, $900 per door for a coloured melamine finish, $1000 per door for a frameless mirrored finish and $1050 per door for a polyurethane finish.

Generally speaking, a simple internal configuration for a 4 door hinged wardrobe measuring up to 2400mm long would include a set of customised sized drawers, three shelves above the drawers and some hanging space with a top shelf for storage.

Keep in mind that by adding the right accessories, you can maximise the storage in the space you have. Some of our accessories include Pull down hanging systems, pull-out shoe shelves and custom built deeper drawers.

Flatpack Custom Built Walk-in Wardrobes. How much?

If you have the luxury of large, spacious bedrooms, it is worth considering a custom DIY built walk-in wardrobe.

One must also consider the budget when trying to find a practical yet aesthetically pleasing walk-in wardrobe storage solution.

Our DIY Walk-in Wardrobes can include a full carcass system where custom made cabinets are built with backing, side and base panels and then fixed to the other carcasses on the sides.

We can also provide walk-in wardrobe panels without the carcass. The panels are generally 450mm deep x 16mm thick and 1950mm high.

These panels can also be custom made to a height of 2100mm x 450mm or the depth of the panels can also be increased from 450mm deep to 600mm deep and more.

For the full carcass option, expect to pay around $400 per carcass in a white melamine finish or $750 per carcass in a coloured melamine finish.
