Plain Polyurethane Sliding Wardrobes

Sliding Built-in Wardrobes with Plain Polyurethane Doors

Plain polyurethane sliding wardrobe doors offer a sleek, contemporary appearance that suits a wide range of home styles, from modern apartments to luxury residences throughout Mosman, Neutral Bay, Cremorne and surrounding Sydney suburbs. Featuring smooth, uninterrupted door faces without decorative grooves or profiles, plain polyurethane doors create a clean and sophisticated look that complements both minimalist and traditional interiors.

Manufactured from premium MDF and finished in durable polyurethane, these doors are available in an extensive range of Dulux colours and can be produced in satin, semi-gloss or gloss finishes. Their smooth painted surface provides a furniture-quality appearance while remaining durable and easy to maintain.

Custom made to suit your opening dimensions, plain polyurethane sliding wardrobe doors provide a premium alternative to standard melamine or mirrored doors. Combined with custom wardrobe internals and quality sliding hardware, they create a stylish built-in wardrobe solution that maximises storage while enhancing the overall appearance and value of your home.

Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Internals

Sliding wardrobe internals are available in durable white melamine or a wide range of coloured melamine finishes to suit your wardrobe design. With countless layout options including drawers, shelving, double hanging, long hanging, shoe storage and accessories, every internal configuration can be customised to maximise storage, improve organisation and suit your individual lifestyle requirements.

Two Door Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Internal Layouts

Our 2 door wardrobe layouts are designed to maximise storage while maintaining easy access and organisation. Popular configurations include drawers and shelving on one side with long and short hanging space on the other. Custom options such as shoe storage, adjustable shelves and accessory compartments create a practical wardrobe solution for any bedroom.

Three Door Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Internal Layouts

Our 3 door wardrobe layouts provide exceptional storage capacity and flexibility for larger bedrooms. A popular design includes two drawer units, multiple adjustable shelves, long and short hanging sections, and a full-width top shelf. Custom configurations can incorporate shoe storage, accessory shelving and additional hanging space to suit individual storage requirements.

Four Door Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Internal Layouts

Our 4 door wardrobe layouts offer maximum storage and organisation for larger bedrooms and master suites. Common configurations include multiple drawer units, extensive shelving, dedicated long and short hanging sections, shoe storage and full-width top shelving. Custom internal layouts can be tailored to suit clothing collections, accessories and individual storage preferences.

Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Hanging Rod Options

Our wardrobe hanging rods are available in aluminium white, silver, black and brass finishes to complement any wardrobe design. Featuring an oval profile for increased strength and reduced deflection on longer spans, they provide durable support for clothing storage while enhancing the appearance of your wardrobe internals. Matching rod flanges are also available.

Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Drawer Options

Our wardrobe drawers are available with either standard metal roller runners or premium soft-closing runners for a smoother, quieter operation. Standard drawer unit widths include 460mm and 610mm, with custom sizes available to suit your layout. Custom drawer configurations can also incorporate shallower drawers for jewellery trays, watches and accessories, while glass display shelves above provide an elegant way to showcase valuable items and personal collections.

Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Sizes

Wardrobe sizes can be customised to suit almost any space, with standard sliding wardrobe configurations available up to 2400mm wide for 2 door wardrobes, 3600mm wide for 3 door wardrobes and 4800mm wide for 4 door wardrobes. Polyurethane sliding wardrobes have slightly reduced maximum widths due to the thicker doors requiring greater overlap and not using aluminium frames. Standard wardrobe depth is 600mm, providing ample space for hanging garments. Wardrobes can be installed wall-to-wall, wall-to-side panel, or with full-height side panels on both ends where no adjoining walls exist. Standard wardrobe height is 2400mm, with oversized wardrobes available up to 2700mm high for an additional cost.

Sliding Built-in Wardrobe flooring and backing panels

Backing and flooring panels are available in durable 16mm melamine and can be added to any wardrobe design for an additional cost. While not included as standard, they provide a fully enclosed appearance and help protect walls and flooring. Optional ceiling infill panels can conceal uneven ceilings, while side wall lining panels are ideal for covering exposed walls and creating a seamless built-in wardrobe finish.

Sliding or Hinged Wardrobes. What works best for your space?

Choosing between sliding and hinged wardrobes depends on several factors including room size, furniture placement, access requirements, ceiling height and personal style preferences. Sliding wardrobes are ideal where space is limited, as the doors do not swing into the room, making them perfect for smaller bedrooms and areas with restricted access. Hinged wardrobes offer full access to the entire wardrobe interior at once and are often preferred for their traditional, furniture-style appearance. In Mosman and surrounding suburbs, hinged wardrobes are particularly popular in higher-end homes due to their premium look, although sliding wardrobes are often the more practical solution where door swing space is limited.

What Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Style Works best in your space?

The best sliding wardrobe door style often depends on the age, architecture and interior design of the home. Mirrored sliding doors are ideal for modern apartments and smaller bedrooms, helping rooms feel larger and brighter. Frosted glass and ultra-white glass doors suit contemporary homes with clean lines and minimalist styling. White or coloured melamine doors provide a practical, cost-effective option for family homes. Polyurethane shaker, V-groove and profiled sliding doors are particularly popular in Mosman, the Lower North Shore and traditional Federation or Hamptons-style homes, offering a more decorative, custom-built appearance while maintaining the space-saving benefits of sliding doors.
