Hinged wardrobes are typically manufactured at a standard depth of 600mm, providing ample space for hanging garments and storage accessories. Standard door widths are generally limited to 600mm for strength and ease of operation. Common wardrobe sizes include 2 doors up to 1200mm wide, 3 doors up to 1800mm, 4 doors up to 2400mm, 5 doors up to 3000mm and 6 doors up to 3600mm wide. Additional doors can be incorporated on smaller wardrobes to reduce door swing in tighter spaces. Standard door height is 2400mm with a 100mm kickboard, creating an overall height of 2500mm. For higher ceilings, oversized 2700mm doors or separate overhead cupboards can be incorporated.
